While I’ve seen the aurora borealis from an airplane before, this is the very first time that I’ve seen it from the ground. I was staying up at my aunt’s place in Bellingham, Washington last night after a week at ARVO 2024, and went to close the bedroom window while looking up to be absolutely gobsmacked to see the most amazing display that *MOVED* so dynamically. These images are slightly enhanced by the phone camera, but it’s pretty close to what I was looking at.
