I had the distinct pleasure of getting to visit with Kevin Ng from Leica Microsystems who came by to deliver, install and crate back up a Leica STED super-resolution microscope for delivery to Pittsburgh. I’ve wanted a super-resolution STED microscope for quite some time and it almost did not happen because of the Trump tariffs. Thankfully, Leica found a system already in the country which would not have been subject to the tariffs, and we were able to get it which will be of crucial importance to our research program in neurodegeneration.
Thank you for all our hard work Kevin! I know that this past week was an absolute chore and I appreciate your efforts. Also, I hope to cross paths with you again in the future!
