6 Months…

My love, it has been 6 months since your death and I still cannot believe this is reality.  There are so many people that miss you, your wit, laughter, your generosity, and insight.

I am flying back into the United States from the Czech Republic, and there have been so many times over the past week that I’ve wanted to hold your hand while walking down the streets of Prague, or continue our conversations.   It just seems wrong that we are not talking on the phone for a daily update while I am traveling, or walking together down some random street talking and laughing about our thoughts, observations and curiosities.

I love you, as always.

  1. Just have to say how your grieving the loss of your beautiful wife and soul mate has affected us. I’ve never seen anyone express their loss so beautifully and with such grace and dignity. Hilary was a wonderful person and you were so lucky to have shared a life with her. I’m quite sure she knew how deeply you cared for her and felt the same way about you. Your friends are watching over you and all walk with you in spirit. You are loved! Hilary will visit you in small ways, watch for them. She will always be a part of your life. The past is always present.

  2. Apologies for misspelling Hilari’s name in my previous comment. My fingers are shredded from glasswork and I’m typing with my little finger. Plus I just missed it. Michael caught it, thankfully.

We are very sad about your wife Hilary’s death. but we are pleased that you now have a new life in Pennsylvania. You are a special guy and we support you all the way in our hearts despite still being embedded in Utah. Look after Webvision and please connect with Ralph Nelson as soon as possible for future plans, nelsonr@ninds.nih.gov. He has amended several chapters in Webvision at NIH and you need to display these new CHAPTERS ON YOUR WEBSITE AT PITTSBURG. Hope all is happy now for you, Helga

        1. Thank you Helga.

Hilari is missed by so many folks. I was just talking with someone else this evening about how they missed Hilari and were grateful for her advocacy in their life.

Regarding Webvision, it’s nice to have an institution that values Webvision, and though Ralph and I have already been in touch, I will reach out again as there are some other folks who have asked about writing chapters. It is an exciting time for Webvision in it’s new home where the website you pioneered is valued and appreciated.
