Before leaving Salt Lake City for Pittsburgh, I got to meet up with a friend and colleague, Chris Johnson.  I’ve had a years long pleasure of working and visiting with Chris in his role as the Founder and Director of the Scientific Computing Institute at the University of Utah.  We certainly could not have done our work in connectomics without the collaborations and expertise that Chris helped curate for that institute, and I will be forever grateful.

I’m hoping that we will have a chance to reconnect in person for a visit and hear about all the things he is up to. Chris, if you are ever in the Pittsburgh area, you are welcome to stay with me for an excellent meal, and we can listen to the birds out here.
