Late summer is here and fall is just around the corner in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I honestly thought I’d have more time to explore the yard and gardens at the new house with cameras after moving in, but the last few months have been… a lot. And there is still so much to do for work. Manuscripts that are very late (Sorry Lisa), training to do, official University of Pittsburgh paperwork that needs to be assembled, stuff from the lab in Utah that is still not here, and more to come.
Hopefully after everything settles down a little bit, in the autumn I can start to explore the yard and gardens that Hilari would have so very much loved. The house is largely settled in, but we are now just working on the lab, and today, Sunday is another work day before the bulk of September hits me in the face with a completely packed schedule. At least Alice has been enjoying discovering hummingbirds and groundhogs along with turkeys, deer, cardinals, bluejays, hawks, and other assorted fauna.
