I flew up to Toronto for a one day study section for Fighting Blindness Canada, and got to score some wonderful grants, and hang out with excellent colleagues doing that labor. As always, I wish I had additional time in Toronto to just explore. I love the city so much as it feels super low friction from a diversity standpoint. The last study section in Toronto I attended, I planned for an additional day there to explore after study section. This year the schedule was just too tight and I had to get back for work ASAP as Bela Anand-Apte and I had to attend the review council meeting for my department, University of Pittsburgh Ophthalmology @pittophthalmology.bsky.social.
