Bela Anand-Apte, Michael Redmond and I set out from Valencia with the amazing David Warrington of Valencia Birding to take in a day of peeping at avians. The complete list of birds we saw on this day is below the gallery. It was a glorious day with a number of new species for me, as well as an excellent time with good people and the tastiest paella I’ve ever had which was appropriate as we spent a good part of the day in the rice fields that make Valencia rice so famous.
I neglected to bring the big camera and lens this trip and relied upon Michael for those images. I decided instead to take the little trusty Leica M-P 240 and a 35mm lens to document the environment and people.
