I flew from PIT to DTW after a last minute change from MSP to DTW due to delays, then on to AMS and VLC.  Travel snafus seem to be the norm this year due to weather, and political mismanagement and stupid wars.

I’m also still not over the whole tradition that Hilari and I had with checking in when I travel.  I’d text “Wheels down, AMS” to let her know my progress and then we’d chat for a while as I transited gates.  AMS also has lovely flower displays of Hilari’s favorite flowers, the tulip.  We had been planning a bicycle trip from Amsterdam through the countryside to look at flowers for some time.

Off to a day of birding tomorrow, and then a week of meetings to exhaustion, I am sure.
